Pre-made pouches, not formed film

This is a doypack machine, which means it works from pre-made pouches rather than forming bags from a roll of film the way a VFFS does. That distinction decides a lot. Pre-made pouches cost more per unit, but they arrive already printed, already shaped, and with zippers or spouts fitted. For a retail product where the pack is part of the brand, that is usually the right trade.

Check this before you specify it

The machine runs on 380V and needs a compressed air supply at 0.7 cubic metres per minute. If you do not already have air plumbed to the line, budget for a compressor alongside the machine rather than discovering it on installation day.

Coding the pouch

Pre-made pouches usually arrive printed but without variable data. Dates, lot codes and batch numbers still have to be applied, and thermal transfer overprinting handles that cleanly on pouch film. We supply the Linx TT 500 and Linx TT 750 and stock the matching ribbons.
