Wax thermal transfer ribbon, coated side out, 4.02 inches wide by 984 feet long.
Full width for 4-inch labels
4.02 inches covers standard 4-inch label stock edge to edge, which is the dominant size for shipping labels, carton marking and pallet placards. Running a ribbon narrower than the printed area leaves gaps in the print, so matching ribbon width to label width matters.
Why wax
Wax transfers at lower printhead energy than resin formulations, which reduces head wear per label and keeps cost per print down. Suited to paper label stock that will not meet solvents, heavy abrasion or high heat.
