When nothing coarser will do
At twenty-four dots per millimetre this head prints detail that cannot be reproduced at 203 or 300 dpi. It is specified for regulated product marking, miniature components, and labels where a great deal of mandatory information has to occupy very little space.
The trade-offs worth knowing
Higher resolution means slower maximum print speed and shorter head life under the same workload. If only some of your labels need 600 dpi, it is often cheaper to run them on a dedicated machine than to put every job through this head.
