The standard resolution
203 dpi, or 8 dots per millimetre, is the workhorse resolution for the 105SL. It suits shipping labels, inventory tags, carton marking and any application where the barcode is large enough to scan comfortably at arm's length.
Why heads fail
The printing element sits in direct contact with label stock and ribbon, so abrasion is constant. Grit, adhesive residue and misaligned media all accelerate wear. A head already producing voids will not recover through cleaning alone.
Direct replacement
Fits the 105SL as a complete assembly with no modification required.
