Why servo control matters on an auger

An auger meters powder by rotation: turn it a precise amount and a precise volume of product drops. A standard motor approximates that rotation. A servo motor holds it exactly, which is the difference between a fill that is close enough and one that repeats to the same weight all shift. On fine powders, where a fraction of a turn is grams of product, that precision is the whole machine.
